Principal Meredith Dolley

Meredith Dolley’s connection to Burton Valley runs deep. A proud Bobcat herself, she attended Burton Valley as a student before heading off to pursue a career in education. Along the way, she taught in Colorado and San Diego before returning home to the community she loves.

Over her career, Meredith has taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades, served as an instructional coach, and has proudly led Burton Valley Elementary as Principal for the past 10 years. Even more special, all three of her own children attended(s) Burton Valley, making BVE both her professional and personal home.

Meredith believes that Burton Valley is a truly magical place where every child is welcomed, valued, and empowered to thrive. She is passionate about creating an inclusive community where students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while experiencing the joy of learning every day.

Assistant Principal Jamey Carman

Hello Burton Valley Community! I am thrilled to be returning for my 3rd year as AP of BVE and my 7th year in LAFSD. I have also worked for four years at Stanley along with stops in Mount Diablo Unified and Walnut Creek School District in my 20 years working in education.

I truly love each day that I get to spend with our Bobcats - learning, laughing, joining, and practicing kindness. I believe that every student has a unique journey and it is our privilege as educators to watch and support them along the way.

Office Manager Sarah Mould

I have been fortunate to call Lafayette and the surrounding area home for nearly 20 years. My daughters, Jess and Alex, grew up in the community, attending Lafayette schools before graduating from Acalanes High School and moving on to college.

I love the energy at Burton Valley, from the enthusiasm and curiosity of our students to the dedication of our knowledgeable staff and the incredible support of our parent community. My days are never dull working at such a vibrant and caring school :)

Office Manager Victoria Livingston-Hall

Mrs. Victoria or Mrs. Hall and her family are proud Burton Valley Bobcats. Both of her children are now alumni of BVE, but Mrs. Victoria never left! Her favorite thing about working at BVE is laughing with all of the kids and all of her friends in the classroom, on the playground, and in the office. In her spare time Mrs. Victoria loves painting, reading, skiing, gardening, listening to loud music and she loves drinking coffee.
She is happy to be a part of the, big, warm, loving school which is Burton Valley Elementary!
